Spanish film [REC] has the most memorable ending 10 minutes I've seen in a film since Audition. It's in the process of being remade, so we'll see how that goes.
I had picture of myself being an idiot at my friends house, but the merriment can be molded into terror if I add nightvision effects.

Yeah, I heard about it a while back and I've been seeing ads for it now. I'm sure it'll probably be reprehensible but, oh well, I'm used to it by now.

Yeah, I should probably watch the original first before I see the American version. Say, how do you think REC would've faired in Japan? I bet THEY'D try to remake it too.
Depends on the director. Generally when I think of Japanese horror I think of atmospheric/supernatural flicks. I can't think of many REC-type films having come out of Japan recently -- leastways none that I know of.
I highly highly highly reccomend REC. If you have VeohTV (If not its an easy download) then it's available to watch online. Otherwise you could easily torrent it. Unfortunately I don't think it'll be getting an American release riiiight until the remake hits theaters, as a sort of tie-in at video stores. I could be wrong, though, I haven't been out to check recently.

I dunno, maybe. I just dont' tend to stick zombies with Japanese film. Except 'Versus' is an excellent movie outt'a Japan with some zombies. Fun movie if you ever see it at the rental store. (:

I just saw the american version, and I got to say... the Spanish version is waaaaaaay scarier than this one (maybe because it was the first one, or maybe because I'm portuguese and I see it in an other perspective). I like the way you are on the floor, it looks realistic. I just hope that the second movie, called REC 2, will be as scary as the first one. Great photo by the way. Keep it up!
